Week 8 Pros & Cons: Patriots 32 Browns 13

2025-10-26

Pros

  • Drake Maye overcame pressure all day and a bad interception to have an incredible second half: 8/8 for 114 yards and 3 TDs.
  • Henderson finally flashed: 7.5 yards per carry (team rushing total boosted by Maye scrambles). The late fumble hurt, but hopefully he builds on this.
  • Mack Hollins blocked his butt off and consistently moved the chains.
  • Robert Spillane had by far his best game: 14 tackles, two for a loss, and an interception.
  • After the usual slow start, the Browns couldn’t do anything. I’m ready to declare the Pats’ run defense legit—teams cannot run on them.
  • Borregales kept them in the game early and has been reliable after a slow start.

Cons

  • Offensive line was terrible and the plan vs Garrett was terrible. We have to get a running game to keep pass rushers honest.
  • Penalties/turnovers/red zone failures popped up again early; would like a faster, cleaner start.
  • Stevenson was Jekyll and Hyde. Missing Gibson really stinks; RB and/or interior OL help before the deadline would be huge.
